Absent common metadata returns None. Assigning None removes a property. Accessors do not validate nested schema constraints.
Top-level members such as time, conformsTo, and linkTemplates have separate behavior documented in the OGC Record reference.
Metadata timestamps treat naive datetimes as UTC, convert timezone offsets to UTC, and truncate fractional seconds. Assign None to remove a record timestamp. Contact-link dictionaries remain compatible with string timestamps; serialization normalizes all nested created and updated values without modifying the source dictionaries. Invalid timestamp strings raise ValueError.
