STAC Transaction API Client¶

stac-transaction-api-client is a Python client for the STAC API Transaction Extension. It provides sync and async endpoint helpers backed by httpx and uses PySTAC objects for STAC item payloads and successful item responses.

Quick start¶

Install the package with the PySTAC integration used by the transaction modules:

python -m pip install "stac-transaction-api-client[pystac]"

Create a client and retrieve an item:

from stac_transaction_api_client import Client
from stac_transaction_api_client.api.transaction import get_feature

client = Client(base_url="https://stac.example.com")
response = get_feature.sync_detailed(
